What is Insights
Insights help you be the best you, by learning what really impacts your health. For example:
What days you get the best recovery, "is it Monday or Friday?"
Understand how the time you go to bed impacts your next day, "does 11pm bedtime impact me?"
Uncover how your activity levels influence your readiness, "when I don't exercise much, does it impact my sleep?"
Learn which tags work for you and against your health, "how much does alcohol impact my recovery?"
Opening Insights
Insights can be accessed from the Insights Tab on the home page. Tap to expand the pop-up menu, or press and hold your finger to drag the menu up (see below).
Toggles & Filters
Time Periods: The little tabs at the top let you filter insights by time periods of 6 months, 90 days, 28 days, 14 days and 7 days, letting you monitor short, medium and long term. Tap on any time period to apply that filter.ย
Metrics: View all metrics combined, or use the toggles to focus on a combination or an individual metric such as blood oxygen. Tap any health metric to turn on or off. Values turned off will be removed from the insight averages and views.
Insights Menu Bar: The toggles menu will stay top of page while you scroll down, so you can easily change filters to compare
The Different Insights
As you scroll down the page, you will notice Insights are grouped into sections. These include:
Averages: watch all your metrics instantly update based on the filters and toggles selected
At a Glance: a quick summary of your best metrics based on the time period and toggles
7D Trend: visuals always help, so we included a dynamic 7 day trend line for the selected metrics
By Day: find out which day you get the best and worst results
By Bedtime: discover the impact based on the time you go to bed to sleep
By Activity: uncover how your daily activity impacts you, for example, is doing lots of exercise better for my recovery
Tags: track anything you like with tags from the Daily Wellness Survey (see below more on using tags)
Using the Graph
The light blue dot ๐ต indicates the overall average value. If the dot is to the right, this is better compared to your baseline. See below my best day is Sun-Mon with +15% better recovery.
The blue shading โโacts as a heat map, indicating past values. The more condense the shading, the more values in that range. Fantastic for adding context when comparing time periods.
The little red bar โindicates today's value, so you can easily compare today versus historical at a glance. See below the red bar โis on Mon-Tue which is today, just a little behind my average indicated by the blue dot.
Where you see a % value in yellow, this indicates it is the best or worst for that graph. For example, +15% for my Sun-Mon is shown in yellow, this is indicating my best night for recovery. However Wed-Thu is showing -1%, this is my worst night for recovery.
Using Tags
Using tags from the daily wellness survey found in the Inbox (the small mailbox icon on the home screen) is highly encouraged, as insights turns the tags into meaningful outputs.
Some default tags are already setup in Eclipse Yourself, but you can add custom tags like "Coffee-Late" or "Bedroom-Hot", it is up to you.ย
Depending on the time period applied, a number will show next to the tag indicating how many times it has been used. See below my tag "Alcohol-Last-Night" has been tagged (20) times, averaging -6% worse in my recovery.
